Today we had one of the worst storms I have ever seen. It got absolutly black outside.. with the yellow-green sky to boot. This was taken after the storm had passed. The wind came in sheets and the wind blew--and my computer got screwed up. I was seriously scared......

This afternoon a tornado went through Murfreesboro actually pretty close to where Katie lived when she went to MTSU. There was a lady and her 9 week old baby daughter killed and her hubby critically injured.

by the time it got here it was leaving work time-- I started out on Yarnell Road on the way home with some wind and rain. The more I drove the worse the weather got. I was afraid to stop and almost as afraid to keep going. It was like driving in a washing machine!! to make matters worse the radio announcer kept saying "the worst of the storm is right over Yarnell Road" ??Geesh.

I am really glad that it didn't last long and the rain was much needed and appreciated. Just glad it was not worse. Obviously I didn't have time to stop and take a pic, but dear Mr S was at home doing just that--- the pic doesn't do justice to how hard it was raining but it is still the POTD.. and then the afterward as well.

surgery went well

My brother Brad, had surgery this afternoon and did well. He had a core decompression for his hip problem which is called avascular necrosis. The ortho told my SIL, Susie, that he felt as if Brad should be getting some relief from his incessant pain from this condition. . . . . . . within the next 4 weeks or so. Even saying that he felt Brad's chances for this being a success were good. May have saved him having a bilateral hip replacement in the future. Thanks for all the prayers on his behalf.
We had storms and near tornado winds today. Actually we had a tornado warning in the county where I live but not where I work. On the way home from work I saw lots and lots of swollen streams and gigantic puddles. We got nearly an inch of rain in about 45 minutes at work. My POTD is from the front stoop of my house when I got home--the sun shining out after the storms.

seems like I take a lot of pictures of the weather events and the dogs and cats huh?
