Along with a lot of the country we have been hit hard with the nearly $4 gallon gas, the steep rise in the price of groceries and everything else. Monday morning we went into work to the news that we will be 'acquired"by the Mega giant we shall call "H'
We had meetings nearly all day on Monday with them telling us how great it is going to be and how we are all still valuable members of the company and the biggest thing they are 'squiring" is the employees.
Now to me, anytime you have that many 'suits" from two companies telling you how wonderful this change is going to be.... I think it is time to take a step back and think this thru. What was it Shakespeare said???? "the lady doth protest too much, methinks"
Hamlet Act 3 ,scene 2 Or another Shakespeare quotation "Something is rotten in the state of Denmark "Marcellus---
Hamlet Act 1, scene 4, 87–91At this time there are too many unknowns-- The "suits" say they just don't know the answers to the millions of questions we have....will we still have jobs? How long before we know if we have jobs? not to mention the questions about insurance coverage, co-pays, deductibles, pharmacy benefits if we are retained.? 401k's? retirement benefits? i believe with some of my problems I am most likely un-insureable if I have to get new health insurance---so where does that leave us??? the little peons?
and I hate not knowing what will happen. I have always felt the job I do was fairly stable--there are always going to be sick people-- there fore there are always going to be some form of insurance that needs to be administered.......... sigh
